Halls Gap - Run, Hike and Bike

The Grampians National Park, located 235km west of Melbourne, is the perfect environment for rekindling your love of fitness and outdoor activities. The Grampians are a natural wonder - waterfalls, fascinating rock formations, spectacular lookouts, wildflowers, fern gullies and wetlands and situated in the centre of this is the quaint village of Halls Gap. This small town is completely dwarfed on each side by sandstone mountain walls rising steeply and sharply, making it a magnificent place and a perfect setting for an outdoor adventure. Whether you’re keen to explore these Mountains on foot, by bike or even on water; Venture will be able to provide you with an unforgettable escapade that will undoubtedly have you coming back for more.


What we are currently offering:

Morning or Afternoon Mountain Bike Ride

We offer a variety of rides throughout the Grampians National Park. From short, 2 to 3 hour comfortable trails, right up to half and even full day expeditions that are designed to shock both the body and mind. With scenic views and an abundance of wildlife surrounding us, there will be many photographic stops along the way. Whether you have years of experience or none at all, we will be able to tailor a biking adventure for you.


Physical exertion rating: 2-3

Notes: Bring camera, water and a snack

Duration: 2-3 hours

Distance: 5-10km

Price and time: $20 and from 7:30am in the morning and 2pm in the afternoon


Evening Trail Run and Group Fitness

Wanting to mix up your training routine? Looking for some extra motivation? Come and join our 1 hour fitness sessions and reinvigorate your body and mind. Enjoy peaceful runs through the naturally rugged terrain that is the Grampians National Park, whilst discovering innovative exercises and a new sense of what training means to you. Learn how to adequately prepare your body for physical activity. Discover the importance of proper cool down techniques, as this can often reduce the likelihood of injury and ultimately speed up recovery time. These sessions can also be tailored to suit your individual needs, allowing you to get the most out of your time spent with us.

Notes: wear loose fitting sports attire or compression type sportswear, bring a drink bottle!

Duration: 1 hour

Distance: varies from 1-8km

Price and time: $5 and from 6:45pm


Half and Full Day Walking and Hiking Treks

If your idea of an adventure does not include high altitude running or rocky, downhill descents on a bike; then maybe one of our walking or hiking tours is more suitable. Not only will you discover the Grampians National park at a leisurely pace, but you will also gain insight to the natural history, fauna and flora that surrounds you on your journey. We cater for a wide variety of people and groups, and can even organise a special meal, served at the highpoint of your climb; “The Pinnacle”.

Distance: 5 or more kilometres
